iCloudz (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy and processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect through icloudz.co.za, why, and the rights you have.
Who we are
iCloudz is a cybersecurity company based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our website address is https://icloudz.co.za. For any privacy question or request, contact us at sales@icloudz.co.za.
What we collect
- Enquiry form: your first name, last name, email address, phone number and the message you send us.
- WhatsApp: if you contact us through the WhatsApp button, WhatsApp shares your phone number and messages with us. WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies to its service.
- Usage information: anonymous or pseudonymous information about how visitors use the website, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through Google Analytics.
- Security logs: IP addresses and request details recorded by our website security software to detect and block malicious traffic.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide information or quotations you ask for.
- To improve the website and understand which content is useful.
- To protect the website and our visitors against attacks and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information. We only use it for direct marketing if you have asked us to keep in touch, and you can opt out at any time.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. This website uses:
- Essential cookies that keep the website secure and working, including cookies set by our security software and, for administrators only, WordPress login cookies.
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics (for example
_gaand_ga_*), which help us understand how the website is used. These can last up to two years.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the website.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the website and respond to you, such as our website host, Google (analytics) and WhatsApp (messaging), or where the law requires it. These providers may process information outside South Africa, subject to appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting business relationship, and then delete it unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Security
As a cybersecurity company, we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, correct or delete it, or object to its processing. Contact sales@icloudz.co.za. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
